Training Policies & Guidelines

Full Release of Liability

While doing a lesson, camp, class or any other baseball, softball, or sports training activity with MADE Baseball or at anytime you are in the area of our business operation, you give up your rights to any legal recourse or monetary compensation against MADE Baseball, any of its instructors, coaches, and/or the city of Los Angeles due to injury or death suffered while in our care or by any of our equipment, your equipment, stepping in a hole, dogs in a park, getting hit by a baseball or baseball bat in the face or elsewhere on the body, acts of God, or our instructors and coaches.

Baseball is an inherently dangerous sport and there is always risk of severe injury. Your MADE Baseball Coach is highly trained and qualified, and very mindful of how to maintain the optimal levels of safety in order to minimize risk at all times. Safety is always our number one priority.

Non-Solicitation Agreement

The parent/student relationship is with MADE Baseball. To solicit a MADE Baseball Instructor to schedule lessons outside of the MADE Baseball program is illegal and may cause the instructor to lose his or her job with MADE Baseball and we may pursue further legal action due to the instructors’ breach of contract. Students, parents, and guardians will not circumvent the MADE Baseball program.

Everything is included in lesson price

Your MADE Baseball Instructor, field use, insurance, and all baseball training aids and equipment that we use to instruct are all included. You’ll need to bring your own gear (bat, glove, hat, cleats, etc) and water and sunscreen as needed. Our coaches generally have extra gear if necessary, but it is not guaranteed.

Scheduling Baseball Training

Lessons, clinics, and classes are booked on a first come, first served basis. They must be scheduled, rescheduled, and canceled all on your own.

*It is best to create an account with our scheduling system to save time and prevent having to repeat filling out the in-take form each time you schedule.

When you book and pay online, your reservation is 100% guaranteed. If you want to ensure that your player is receiving consistent training, it is best to book lessons far in advance.

Each MADE Baseball instructor has something special to offer your player. We encourage you to utilize our full coaching staff in order to give your player different perspectives and areas of expertise. We have all learned from amazing coaches, mentors, and baseball minds and we all have something different and valuable to offer your player.

What is the cancellation & rescheduling policy?

Cancellations of a single lesson or class:

If you have booked a single lesson or class online and would like to cancel before the 24 hour window and would like a refund, please send our customer support staff an email to getmade@madebaseball.com to let us know that you have changed your mind about scheduling with us and would like a refund.

Cancellations of a lesson or class on a package:

If you cancel a lesson or class from a package before the 24 hour window, it will automatically go back on to your package and can be scheduled at a later date at your convenience.

Rescheduling of a lesson or class:

If you made a mistake when scheduling, or you need to reschedule a lesson or class for any other reason and you are still before the 24 hour window, you can easily reschedule through your client account. If you have not yet registered for a client account, you can reschedule through the rescheduling link that was sent in your confirmation email.

*NOTE: Rescheduling and/or cancelling lessons is discouraged. We know that life happens, but we ask that you only book lessons/classes that you know you can attend.

Arrive to training session 15 minutes early

We book lessons back to back, on the hour, so if you are late you will lose time on your lesson. Also, it is not good to have our players miss warm ups for clinics and classes as they are an important part of injury prevention and preparation.

Refund Policy

Refund for a single lesson, camp day, or class:

If you have purchased a single lesson, camp day, or class and have changed your mind, let us know and we will be happy to refund your money, less a $10 processing fee. The refund request must be at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson, camp day, or class or is otherwise invalid and a refund will not be provided.

Refund for lesson packages:

Lesson packages expire one year from the purchase date.

We do not provide refunds on lesson packages. If you are unable to use remaining lessons on a package before the expiration date, we do allow you to transfer them to another person. If this is the case, please email our customer support staff at getmade@madebaseball.com and let us know your situation.

NOTE: Lesson packages are not transferrable to camp days or class credits.

Refund for class and camp day packages:

Class and camp day packages expire one year from the purchase date.

We do not provide refunds on camp and/or class packages. If you are unable to use remaining classes or camp days on a package during a given class or camp offering, you can hold them for credit towards the next camp we provide. If this is the case, please email our customer support staff at getmade@madebaseball.com and let us know your situation.

NOTE: We run seasonal camps and classes, but we do not guarantee a specific camp or class schedule through out the year.

Refund for early drop-off and late pick-up:

We do not offer any refunds or credits for early drop-offs and late pick-ups purchased. If you purchase a package of early drop-off/late pick-up hours and you are unable to use them during a given camp, you will not receive a credit. Please plan accordingly.

Refund for the MADE Baseball shop?

We do not provide refunds for anything purchased from the MADE Baseball shop.

Rain/Field Conditions

We use public parks for all of our lessons, not indoor facilities. Therefore, we are always subject to weather conditions.

All lessons will be conducted so long as it is not raining or has not rained in the previous 24-72 hours causing the fields to be unplayable.

If the fields are deemed unplayable by your instructor on any given day due to rainy conditions on the day of or 1-2 days prior, you will receive a credit for a future lesson. This decision will always be made with safety of both the player and the coach as the top priority.

Public Field Access

There are times where we may not have a field completely to ourselves. 95% of the time this is not the case as the parks we use are very spacious and filled with great baseball fields.

We always make it work, we always ensure the player will be in safe conditions, and we always have the necessary gear and equipment to do the drills needed for the player to get work done and improve.

Communicate with your Coach’s Manager

In the event that you need to let your coach know something on the day of the lesson, please reach out to our customer support staff to speak with a coach’s manager. Please do not reach out directly to your coach.

Your coach is required to reach out to you via text at their earliest convenience, within 24-48 hours of your lesson booking. They will confirm contact has been made and ensure you know the exact location to meet them.

Bathrooms

Access to a bathroom is not always 100% guaranteed.

We encourage your player to use the bathroom as needed prior to their lesson. In the event the player absolutely needs to use the bathroom, we will always figure out the best solution for them based on the resources given that day and/or have you take them to a nearby restroom somewhere.

Photos and Videos

We will often take photos and videos of your player for both instructional purposes as well as just general usage for you to have because it is nice to have action shots of your player. Sometimes we will use these for our instagram, facebook, and website. If you have an explicit problem with this and do not ever want anything posted of your player, please email us and we will respect your wishes..

Availability & Training Locations

We work with players in the greater Los Angeles area.

Location and exact availability is dependent on which coach you choose.

All of our coaches are required to keep their day to day availability calendars up to date in real time.

If you book a lesson slot with a MADE Baseball Instructor on-line, you can be 100% sure that you will have that slot. 

*In the event that your coach is unable to provide a lesson on a time and day you have scheduled, he will reach out to right away to reschedule the lesson for a more suitable time.
