2 years of Professional Experience
Caught 63 out of 96 games this past season.
I am continuing to learn more about baseball as I become more experienced and I am excited to apply that to my own playing career and share what I have learned with youth players.
A lesson with me:
Begin by assessing skill level.
For beginners we will develop proper set ups and proper steps to prepare for approaching the game correctly whether it be catching stance, batting stance or windup.
For intermediate/ advanced players doing defensive lessons we initially begin by discussing the importance of warming up and a routine. We will play catch, then progress into the skill development drills.
Offensively, we will assess skill level and determine the needs of the player. Attacking these weaknesses and turning them into strengths can be done through tee work, front rows, BP or machine work.
My favorite motivational quote:
“The beauty of coaching is growing the players from the ground up. That journey continues.” – Kobe Bryant
