What is your vetting process for baseball coaches? How do I know they are competent to coach my player, as well as safe
Becoming a MADE Baseball coach is not a quick process. We make sure that each one of our coaches is not only highly knowledgeable and able to teach the game, but is also a great fit for our coaching team and overall coaching philosophy.
Our process for hiring on a new coach is as follows:
1. First, our coaches must fill out an extensive application to give us a good understanding of their baseball journey, playing experience, coaching experience, and ability to effectively communicate with players of all ages and skill levels.Â
2. Once the application is reviewed and accepted, we set up an in-person interview with our coaches to learn more about them.
3. Once we have determined that we feel they are a good fit for our coaching staff, we require them to pass a MADE Baseball Coaching Certification test.Â
4. Once they have passed the MADE Baseball Coaching Certification test, we do a full background check to ensure they have a clean record and are fully safe to coach our players.
5. Next, we train each new coach by having them sit in on three or more lessons to better understand our methods and have the opportunity to show what they can do as a coach in front of one of our coaching supervisors.
6. Finally, once a coach has proven that they have what it takes to provide the best quality baseball lessons to our clients, they join our staff and their profile page is created on our website.
You can be sure that any one of the coaches on our staff that you choose to give private baseball lessons to your player will be knowledgeable, patient, kind, and professional. That’s MADE.
