Which best describes you? *
📝 We typically start new coaches between $25–$40/hr depending on experience, location, and other factors. We'll review this together during onboarding and determine the best starting rate for you.
Do you use social media for personal or baseball-related content? *
Highest Level of Education Completed? *
Are you currently working another job (part-time or full-time)? *
This helps us understand your availability.
Please include the company or organization name.
Would you be okay with us contacting your employer if needed for reference? *
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? *
Answering “Yes” does not automatically disqualify you. We evaluate all applicants individually.
When we run a background check on you, will you pass it? *
All coaches must pass a background check to be cleared for lessons.
Important: In order to coach with MADE Baseball, all applicants must pass a criminal background check. If you are not eligible to pass a background check at this time, we are unfortunately unable to proceed with your application.
Do you have experience playing college or professional baseball? *

💬 Note: While playing at a high level doesn’t automatically make someone a great coach, we generally look for coaches who’ve played at the college or professional level.

If you haven’t — no problem. Just use the rest of this application to show us what you know, how you learned the game, and why you’d be a great coach.

What position(s) do or did you play most often? *
If you don’t have one, just type “N/A”. This is optional but helpful if you’ve played professionally or in college.
Are you currently playing baseball anywhere?
What level are you currently playing at?
Have you coached baseball before — formally or informally? *
What age or skill levels have you coached before? *
Select all that apply — this helps us match you with the right clients.
Do you hold any coaching-related certifications? *
ex: CPR, First Aid, NFHS, USA Baseball, NASM, etc.
Are you currently coaching anywhere else? *
Have you ever offered private lessons independently or through another program? *
What types of lessons have you given? *
Roughly how many private lessons have you given in total? *
There’s no minimum experience required — just be honest so we can get a clear picture of where you’re starting from.
What age groups are you most comfortable working with in private lessons? (Check all that apply) *
Are you still offering lessons elsewhere currently? *
Do you have a flexible schedule? *

What is your shirt size?
Do you have access to a local park with baseball fields or a private space that you’re comfortable using for lessons? *

No problem! If you don’t have a specific park in mind yet, just make sure to identify one or two nearby public parks that you’re comfortable using for lessons before your onboarding call.

We recommend checking:

  • 🏞 Local city or county parks with baseball fields
  • ⚾ Public recreation areas with open grass or turf space

We’ll help you confirm the best option during onboarding.

💡 Does the park or field have lights? *
While park lights can’t always be relied on 100%, many fields have them on consistently while others are more seasonal. Knowing when lights are available opens up more potential time slots for your lessons.
🚻 Does the park or field you plan to use have accessible restrooms? *

To set up your coaching station and look professional when clients arrive, we recommend having the following gear.

We don’t require specific brands, but we do expect coaches to have—or be working toward having—a complete setup. Most of these items are affordable and can be acquired over time as you earn from lessons.

Your coaching station should look organized and include: a bucket of baseballs, bases, tee, glove, bat for ground balls, and any additional gear you use for effective training. A wagon is optional, but highly recommended to move gear easily from your car to the field.

Which of the following training items do you already have? (Check all that apply) *
While we expect most coaches to already have some of this gear, we understand you may not have everything yet. That’s okay — any essential items you’re missing will need to be acquired before your first lesson. A complete setup typically costs around $400 and can be built gradually over time.
(Optional — helps us understand your coaching style)

You're about to create your public coach profile!

If you're selected to join MADE Baseball, this next section will appear on your live profile and lesson listings.

💡 Think of it like your personal marketing page — it’s how parents and players will choose you.

  • A great profile = more bookings.
  • Be thoughtful, clear, and professional in your answers.

We’ll review and help polish your profile before it goes live.

Give a short description about yourself and what you hope to bring to the players you work with. This is your marketing pitch and a client's first impression of you, and it will be displayed on your coach's profile page.

Please list all schools attended, or enter “N/A” if not applicable.
