Most Common FAQs

Where exactly do I meet my coach?

Your coach’s training location is listed on their profile page. The exact meeting spot in the park may change lesson to lesson depending on the day, time, and season.

Your coach will always text you to let you know where to exactly to meet them in the park and are instructed to provide you with an annotated map for your help and convenience.

If you ever have issues with finding your coach, please call them right away. Remember it is always best to get to lessons at least 15 minutes early to ensure no time is lost in the lesson.

How do I prepare for my lesson?

1. Arrive early, prepared, & game ready:

It is best to arrive at least 10-15 minutes early to your lesson. For the best training experience, the player should dress sharp, as though they are about to play in a real game.

This includes:

Baseball pants (optional but preferred) and belt

Cleats (necessary)

Baseball Hat (necessary)

Sunglasses (optional)

DO NOT wear street clothes, ie: jeans and flip flops

Wearing baseball pants and cleats will enable a player to safely practice sliding when desired.

If no sliding practice is desired during the lesson, or it is too hot, shorts can be worn.

2. Bring your gear, water, sunscreen, etc:

To have a proper and productive lesson, player will need to bring the following:

Baseball/softball bat (necessary if player wants to practice hitting)

Helmet (necessary if player wants to practice hitting)

Baseball Glove (necessary if the player wants to practice catching, throwing, and/or fielding)

sunscreen (recommended)

plenty of water (necessary)

Your coach will provide baseballs and all other necessary training aids for the lesson, but is not required to supply the list of gear above.

What is your vetting/hiring process for baseball coaches?

Becoming a MADE Baseball coach is not a quick process. We make sure that each one of our coaches is not only highly knowledgeable and able to teach the game, but is also a great fit for our coaching team and overall coaching philosophy.

Our process for hiring on a new coach is as follows:

1. First, our coaches must fill out an extensive application to give us a good understanding of their baseball journey, playing experience, coaching experience, and ability to effectively communicate with players of all ages and skill levels.

2. Once the application is reviewed and accepted, we set up an in-person interview with our coaches to learn more about them.

3. Once we have determined that we feel they are a good fit for our coaching staff, we require them to pass a MADE Baseball Coaching Certification test.

4. Once they have passed the MADE Baseball Coaching Certification test, we do a full background check to ensure they have a clean record and are fully safe to coach our players.

5. Next, we train each new coach by having them sit in on three or more lessons to better understand our methods and have the opportunity to show what they can do as a coach in front of one of our coaching supervisors.

6. Finally, once a coach has proven that they have what it takes to provide the best quality baseball lessons to our clients, they join our staff and their profile page is created on our website.

You can be sure that any one of the coaches on our staff that you choose to give private baseball lessons to your player will be knowledgeable, patient, kind, and professional. That’s MADE.

All lessons are one hour. We do not provide 30 or 45 minute lessons.

Once you have purchased a lesson package, you will receive a receipt email for your purchase.

Included in your email will be a “Schedule Now” button. Click the button to be taken directly to your lesson type where you can choose your coach and book your lessons with your package code automatically applied.

SCHEDULE YOUR LESSON(S): You may schedule one lesson at a time, multiple lessons on different days and times, or a recurring lesson based on what is available on your coach’s calendar.

CREATE AN ACCOUNT: Be sure to create an account after you’ve scheduled your first lesson(s). Login to your account when scheduling all future lessons.

BOOK IN ADVANCE: For the best training experience and results, we always encourage you to book lessons as far in advance as works for your schedule so as to keep continuity and consistency with your lessons and training.

WORK WITH MULTIPLE COACHES: If your coach is unavailable on a given week, you can book another MADE Baseball coach at your convenience!

EXPIRATION: Lesson packages expire one year after purchase.

SHARING PACKAGES: Lesson packages may not be split between different families, but may be split amongst siblings of the same family.

Can I add a player to my individual lesson?

No, if you would like to do a two player lesson, please be sure to sign up for a two player lesson when booking.

What is the 24 hour lesson scheduling policy?

What to know about our 24 hour lesson scheduling policy:

✔️ Our scheduling system gives you the great advantage to book any MADE Baseball Coach that works for your location and schedule. You can even mix and match coaches!

✔️ All lessons must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

✔️ Schedule your private lessons as far in advance as possible(up to 90 days) to ensure you lock in your desired time slots.

✔️ If something comes up, cancel or reschedule your lesson through your account in our scheduling system, no questions asked!

✔️ It is your responsibility to make sure that you cancel and/or reschedule your player’s camp days at least 24 hours in advance. If you are not within the 24 hour window, there will be no refund provided.

✔️ No exceptions.

But what if my coach agrees that I shouldn’t attend?

Your coach may agree that you have a legitimate reason for not attending. Regardless, coaches are not responsible to bear any part of the burden associated with a client’s unexpected personal circumstances, even if they are beyond their control or cause them to be unable to participate in their lesson.

This includes:

  • Illness or injury
  • Unspecified family emergency or personal crisis
  • Last minute tournament/schedule changes to your player’s game schedule
  • Doctor or specialist appointments
  • Traffic congestion or car trouble
  • Aches, pains, or sprains
  • Forgetfulness or mistakes made when you book

Can you make an exception for me?

Unfortunately both coaches and MADE Baseball’s support team cannot make exceptions to this policy. Coaches often turn down other work opportunities because they have been booked on MADE Baseball. Without a firm cancellation policy in place to protect against last minute cancellations and loss of income, our coaches wouldn’t offer their services at all.

Can I talk to my baseball coach before I purchase lessons?

You are not able to speak with your coach prior to booking a lesson or purchasing a lesson package. If you have any questions about your baseball coach prior to purchasing a package and/or booking a lesson with your coach, you are welcomed to reach out to our front office via email or phone. Our email is support@madebaseball.com and our front office phone number is 1-877-MADE-888

Once you have a scheduled your private baseball lesson(s) with your coach, your coach will reach out via text within 24 hours to confirm the lessons and make contact to answer any questions that you may have.

In the rare case that you feel like your coach isn’t the best fit for your player after the first lesson, we can match you with a new coach.

Do you have customer support?

Of course! Although all of the answers to your questions should be found on this page, you are welcomed to call or text us at 1-877-MADE-888.

Texting is usually best.

You can also message us in our chat widget!

How Scheduling Works

Lessons, camps, and classes are booked on a first come, first served basis. They must be scheduled, rescheduled, and canceled all on your own.

*It is best to create an account with our scheduling system to save time and prevent having to repeat filling out the in-take form each time you schedule. You can do this after booking your first session. On the confirmation page, you will see a blue button that says “Register for an Account”

When you book and pay online, your reservation is 100% guaranteed. If you want to ensure that your player is receiving consistent training, it is best to book lessons far in advance. We offer packages of 5 or 10 lessons and you can book all of them out in advance per the listed availability on your coaches calendar.

If you purchase a package, you can apply it to any coach on our staff (other than Coach Isaac)

If you have questions or need scheduling assistance, you can visit our Help Center or contact us at 1-877-MADE-888.

What types of students do you work with?

Our MADE Baseball Coaching Staff works with students from ages 4 years old all the way up to professionals, and everywhere in between. While we can work with any player at any level, we specialize in working with youth players ages 4-16 years old.

From t-ballers learning the basic rules, to beginners who want to improve their fundamentals, to adults looking to get on men’s league team, we’re here to help.

*If you want to get better and train your game, we want to help you improve!
