5 MADEisms Every Young Athlete Should Learn
At MADE Baseball, we believe in building players who are strong not only physically, but mentally and emotionally. That’s where our MADEisms come in — short, powerful phrases we use to teach core values that matter in the game and in life.
Here are 5 of our most important MADEisms every young athlete should learn and live by:
💬 1. Control the Controllables
There are a lot of things in baseball — and life — that you can’t control. But your attitude, your effort, your focus? Those are 100% up to you. We teach every player to focus on what they can control, and let the rest go.
💬 2. Hustle Wins
Whether it’s running out a ground ball, chasing a fly, or showing up on time, hustle separates the average from the elite. Hustle is effort in action — and we reward it every single day.
💬 3. Be Coachable
No matter how talented you are, you can’t grow without feedback. A MADE athlete listens, learns, and applies what they’re taught. Being coachable shows humility, hunger, and respect.
💬 4. Find the Win
Even in failure, there’s something to gain. We train players to reflect after every game or session and ask, “What did I learn?” When you find the win in every rep, you never lose.
💬 5. Everyday Effort
Consistency is king. It’s not what you do once in a while — it’s what you do every day. At MADE, we celebrate daily effort, knowing that champions are built brick by brick.
