Coach Isaac provides baseball lessons in Santa Monica at Penmar Park
My name is Coach Isaac Hess. I am the founder of MADE Baseball and have been a full-time Private Baseball Instructor since 2008, completing over 10,000 private sessions, group sessions, team practices, clinics, classes, and camps completed in the last 12 years. I’ve worked with 5 year olds up to professionals and everywhere in between. If you want to get better, I want to help you achieve your goals.
I created the MADE Baseball Development and Champion Mindset Training Program to help youth players be the best they can be, on and off the field. I see baseball as a portal of positive learning and overcoming adversity. This is what is has been for me since day 1, and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to coach and mentor the players that I do.

A lesson with me:
I have two rules:
1) Always Have Fun.
2) Always Do Your Best.
A lesson with me will always start with establishing these rules along with a quick 5-10 minute discovery session (for new clients) followed by a dynamic warm up. We are focused on helping our players create their own “championship routine” with a fun mix of dynamic stretching and movement preparation, as well as calisthenics. This routine is tailored to the age, skill level, and fitness of the player and it is designed to help our players program their ability to move properly, as well as prepare them to maximize performance and minimize the risk of injury.
After our warm up, dependent on the desired areas of improvement of the player and what we will work on, we will go into a throwing program where the MADE Baseball Coach will test and evaluate the throwing mechanics of the player. Alternatively, if a focus on hitting training is desired, we will begin with tee work and soft toss drills where we will test and evaluate the mechanics of the player’s swing and determine an appropriate plan of action. From there we will continue to evaluate the player throughout the lesson through a variety of drills and give mechanical feedback as needed.
When the session is complete, I will give suggested drills as homework, and a recommended training plan moving forward.
My goal is to educate each player I work with and to help guide them and develop them both mentally and physically in a positive and fun way.
My favorite motivational quote:
“Champions aren’t born, they’re MADE.”
