What age should my child start baseball lessons?
MADE Baseball trains players as young as 4, all the way through high school, college and adults. So there is no single age where lessons have to start. What matters more is whether your child is ready and wants it.
Coach Isaac has taken on players as young as five. His test for parents is simple. If your child keeps asking to go outside and practice throwing, you can ask how he would feel about having a coach. If he says he just wants to throw with you, then go throw with him and wait on the coach.
With the youngest players, the goal is planting positive seeds: a love for the game and a healthy, smart way of improving. Coach Isaac will not keep working with a player who does not want to be there.
For a brand new player, the practical way to start is a few lessons to see how your child responds. Lessons are one hour and $120, and you book on CageList. Our blog post on this question goes into much more detail.
